Under 90 days Training Program
Purpose
  • Enhancing the capacity of trainees and fostering research networks among scientists from APEC member economies through short-term training programs in Korean laboratories.
Program Overview
  • The program consists of two components: the Opening and Closing Program, and the Lab Research Program. The former includes lectures on science and technology policy and international collaboration activities, as well as a presentation of training outcomes. The latter aims to provide trainees with practical opportunities for collaborative research with Korean researchers.

Eligibility Ph.D. or Master’s degree holders (with at least 3 years of research experience)

Note: The training period can be adjusted based on the plans and circumstances of the training institute.

Note: The Opening and Closing Program will be operated by the INITHiNK, an R&D consulting firm funded and supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea.

Application and Selection Procedure
Phase Procedure Remarks
1st Phase Kindly ensure that all required forms and supporting documents are properly submitted to the relevant domestic authority in accordance with its prescribed submission process.
2nd Phase The Ministry of Science and ICT will evaluate and finalize selections from among the scientists nominated by each economy.
3rd Phase Selected scientists will be required to complete the registration process for the training program via the official website. Website will open on April 10, 2025 (www.sipkorea2025.kr) and the details will be available only to selected participants.
